5 DIY Meals to Make for Your Pets

Have you ever eaten the same meal every morning? Did you like the boring feeling? Of course, you didn’t, who would? Not a chance, kibbles remain his favorite but he sure deserves some sincere organic treats, after all, he is a natural.

And if you care a bone about healthy diets as you do, wouldn’t you spare some veggies for your pets? Well, the problem is, you may not know where to start from or what recipes will work. if you are like that, then today’s article is your special delivery.

For a start, you can give this Doggie style of beef stew a try.

All you will need are

  • 1 pound of beef stew meat
  • 1/2 cup of carrots, diced
  • 1 small sweet potato
  • 1/2 cup of self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 tbsp. of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup of green beans, all diced.

And here is how you prepare it:

Quickly give the beef some chunk like or nickel-sized slices and cook it in the vegetable oil over medium heat for just 15mins. Cook the potato for 8 minutes in the microwave to tender, when cold, you dice it.

Over medium heat, place the dripping and stir in the flour, water, meat, potatoes, the veggies still stirring to make a light gravy when the carrots are tender, that is a sign your doggie stew is ready.

Remember, never serve your pup a hot doggie stew.

You will need some holy discipline to resist the temptation of eating this as you quickly get

  • 6 cups water
  • 1/2 (16 ounces) package frozen broccoli,
  • carrots and cauliflower
  • 1pound ground turkey
  • 2 cups uncooked brown rice
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

Here is the prep:

Place the rice, turkey, and rosemary in the oven stir the turkey repeated until it gets completely broken and evenly in the mixture.

At this point, bring it to cook over low heat for 20 minutes and pour in the veggies while allowing it to simmer for 5 minutes.

At the end of the 5 minutes, your low-calorie delicacy is ready.

This recipe is a must-do if you have a chubby pooch and you will love to manage the weight gain with lean meat and a fair balance of protein.

How about a special pumpkin delight?

If you want to beat the digestive crisis in your pup, keep a pumpkin closer to your pantry. For this recipe, you will need

  • A can pumpkin puree
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups wheat flour, white flour, or brown rice flour.
  • 3 tablespoons of peanut butter (xylitol free)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup oats (optional)

For prep:

In a medium bowl, bring together the cinnamon, oats, and flour. In another bowl whisk the eggs, peanut butter, and the pumpkin puree, when done, fold them in with the dry ingredients and make a dough.

Get a surface floured and bring the dough to kneading.

Once well kneaded into a softball, bake it in your preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
